  • five or six potatoes (medium or large)
  • a large pot
  • a strainer
  • a large bowl
  • a bottle of shampoo
  • moisturizing shampoo and conditioner
  • a towel
Step 1

First, remove the peels of five or six large or medium-sized potatoes. Put the potatoes aside and put the shells in a large saucepan. Then, fill the pot with 1/2 a gallon of water. Boil the water. Put the shells in the water to boil for 20 to 30 minutes.

Step 2

Strain the potato shells through a strainer over a large bowl. Save the water. Leave that water to cool down completely before pouring it into a clean bottle of shampoo.

Step 3

First, you have to wash and condition your hair with moisturizing products. Grey hair is drier and more fragile, so it is very important to nurture your hair so that you can acquire extra moisture. Leave it on your hair for one or two minutes before you rinse it.

Step 4

After this, pour the potato peel rinse over your hair. Get out of the shower and put a dry towel over your hair. Style your hair as you usually do.
