Using Hot/Cold Compresses
Hot/cold compresses are an effective way to alleviate the pain and inflammation because of the sciatic nerve. Heat compress can ease the pain and reduce inflammation. It will relax the muscles that may be pressing the sciatic nerve. While the cold treatment relieves the pain and reduces swelling around the nerves. You can also combine heat and cold by starting with a hot compress and end it with the cold compress. Use steamed towel for the hot treatment. Put the hot/cold pack over the affected area for around 15 minutes. Repeat the process until you feel the pain alleviated.
Simply apply it over the affected area each time you feel the sciatica pain.
Using Willow Bark
Willow bark contains a lot of phenolic glycoside with allicin that has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. It’s an effective remedy to treat long-lasting pain.
