Some of the most important things for a fine bone structure are the joints. They are the ones that provide support and help you move. Just like any other organ or part of our body, any kind of damage to the joints, whether it is disease or injury can interfere with your movement and cause a lot of pain. Painful joints can appear because of numerous conditions like for example osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, gout, strains, sprains, and other injuries. One of the most common problems among people of all ages is joint pain.
There is a national survey which showed that about one-third of adults reported having joint pain within the past 30 days. Knee pain was the most common complaint, followed by shoulder and hip pain, but joint pain is the worst because it can affect any part of your body, from your ankles and feet to your shoulders and hands. With age, this problem only becomes worse. People mostly said that their joint pain ranged from mildly irritating to debilitating. It may disappear after a few weeks (acute), or last for several weeks or months (chronic). Problems like short-term pain and swelling in the joints can also affect your quality of life.
This is one of the things you have to avoid if you suffer from joint pain. You must avoid chocolate, snacks and all kinds of processed sugars. They trigger the release of inflammatory messengers known as cytokines. This type of sugar can also be found in candy, sodas and cereals and other snacks. Excess sugar in the body only puts pressure on the joints and can lead to weight gain.
2. Monosodium glutamate
Monosodium glutamate or MSG is a flavor-enhancing additive. It is mostlyused in soy sauce and Asian foods, but you can also find it in fast food meals, prepared soups and soup mixes, salad dressings and deli meats. This additive is found to trigger inflammation in the body and worsen joint pain.
Excessive alcohol consumption can worsen the condition of your liver but it also has a negative effect on joint pain. Beer contains purines which are then converted into uric acid in the body, an extremely detrimental purpose for joint pain. Beer also contains gluten and it can also cause fragile joints.
4. Refined Carbohydrates
White flour products including: breads and crackers, white rice, white potatoes and many cereals are refined carbohydrates. Processed carbs may be one of the main causes of obesity and other chronic conditions. These foods contain a very high glycemic index. They fuel the production of AGE, which stimulates inflammation.
5. Red And Processed Meats
Red and processed meats contain purine and nitrate. These are chemicals which aggravate pain and inflammation in the body. Red and processed meats not only trigger inflammation, but they also support cancer growth.
6. Dairy Products
Dairy is a highly inflammatory food. Most adults, according to numerous studies, have at least some difficulty digesting milk, whether they know it or not. An inflammatory response can be caused by making dairy a large part of your diet. It would be better for you to stay away from dairy products in case you suffer from joint pain.
Many of the packaged and pre-made foods contain excessive amounts of salt and other preservatives in order to promote longer shelf lives. Refined salt has a content high in additives and chemicals that disrupt the fluid balance in the body. You must avoid junk food and microwaveable meals. Replace your table salt with Pink Himalayan sea salt for cooking.
8. Corn Oil
Corn oil or other oils that are high in omega-6 fatty acids are a part of many foods we consume. Studies have shown that these oils can lead to inflammation. You must avoid soy, peanuts, salad dressings and grape seed oil. Try to include more anti-inflammatory omega-3 alternatives such as olive oil, nuts, pumpkin seeds and flax seeds and you’ll see that you’ll improve your health, but you’ll also prevent joint pain!
