10 Worst Food Companies That Are Poisoning You Daily and Lying About It

Modern American diet is full of toxins, hormones, healthy additives, dyes, artificial flavorings, coloring, preservatives and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). However, not everyone agrees that GMOs have been proven harmful to humans. Due to this, the following popular food chains listed above are selected specifically because they are poisoning us on a daily basis and at the same time are responsible for a wide variety of health violations—the GMOs and their concealment from public knowledge are included for informational purposes. At the end, most of you will ask the same question: is it a prerequisite for success that all large food companies must actively lie to their customers?

  1. Campbell’s Soup Company

This company has been present in most American homes for decades, and its soup is forever emblazoned in our minds by Andy Warhol’s iconic prints. Campbell’s has been sued for hiding the presence of GMOs and for labeling foods as low-sodium when they contain as much salt as regular products. Unless that’s your only major meal of the day, consuming it means you’re risking heart attacks, diabetes and high blood pressure. Namely, the average cup of Campbell’s soup contains a staggering 850mg of sodium. Even more devastating fact is the one that for many decades, Campbell’s has lined its epoxy-resin cans with the toxic chemical, bisphenol A (BPA). According to Breastcancerfund.org. “BPA has been linked in lab studies to breast and prostate cancer, infertility, early puberty in girls, type-2 diabetes, obesity, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.”Only recently did the company finally bow to pressure and phase BPA out of its production.

  1. General Mills

General Mills just won’t stop using an additive called Trisodium Phosphate (also known as TSP). It is also a flavor enhancer found in thousands of frozen and processed foods, including kids’ cereals. At the same time, it also happens to be an ingredient that was used in industrial cleaners—that is, until the EPA declared it unsafe for human exposure. Want to know their reply?- “In our food products we use very small amounts [of TSP]”. Well, only a small amount of poison won’t hurt us, right?! Furthermore, General Mills is constantly under attack due to the widespread use of GMOs in nearly all of its foods. However, the vast majority of Pepsi still contains 4-methylimidazole, or 4-Mel, which has been linked to cancer in humans.

  1. Hershey’s

  1. ConAgra Foods

Many of their products are labelled as being “made with all natural ingredients.” Their slogan, “Making the food you love,” is equally charming and disingenuous, isn’t it? ConAgra includes the following brands: Hebrew National, Slim Jim, Orville Redenbacher, Hunt’s, Healthy Choice, Reddi-wip, Marie Callender’s, P. F. Chang’s, Bertolli, Egg Beaters. Sadly, their slogans state antithesis of truth. In 2003, it was revealed that for two years,ConAgra had been poisoning Americans with E.coli-tainted beef, which the USDA was complicit in covering up.

  1. Nestle

Nestlé is another famous brand on our list today. It is one of three companies using GMOs in their infant formula. Yes, indeed, this is the same chemical that in 2008 sickened at least 50,000 Chinese infants. There has been a lawsuit filed against Purina, which is owned by Nestlé, for the use of propylene glycol, a known animal toxin and component of automotive antifreeze in its dog food.,Purina responded on its website, after more than 3,000 cases of dogs become ill,  that propylene glycol is “an FDA-approved food additive that is also in human foods like salad dressing and cake mix.”

  1. Kellogg’s

This company has been the target of a nationwide ban over GMOs after trying to defeat GMO labeling initiatives with its anti –organic, pro-GMO media propaganda, worth over $1,012,552, in Oregon, Washington and California. In contrary, the company actually doubled down afterwards and its products now consist of 100% GMO corn that contains traces of glyphosate and BT toxins.

  1. Kraft Foods

Do you know that the beautiful golden hue in  Kraft’s Mac N’ Cheese is due to  the artificial coloring agent Yellow No. 6 used, which has been linked to asthma, hyperactivity, skin conditions and even cancer. In 2013, Kraft removed the artificial coloring after the pressure it suffered, but tens of thousands of people have already consumed their products. Kraft actively fights against regulations to require the labeling of these potentially dangerous ingredients and thus it hides the presence of GMOs in their foods.  Moreover, their highly processed, pre-packaged products contain high amounts of fat, sugar and sodium. In the end, one more important fact: as of March 18th, 2015, Kraft was in the process of recalling 6.5 million boxes of Mac N’ Cheese because some of them contained fragments of metal.
